It was well-played, exciting and dramatic until the time expired but not completely! There were 0 seconds remaining, when a controversial call prevented one untimed play that could have reversed the outcome of the game. Bye week: Dallas Cowboys, St. Louis Rams Average Score: Visitor at Host 21-29 Points Median: 20-27 Standard Deviation: 5-8

It looked like a Hollywood movie. The weather was frigid and it was windy; the weather played havoc. Denver Broncos led at halftime 24-0 due to critical errors by New England Patriots. In the second half, the roles reversed completely. New England took the lead 31-24. Denver tied the game 31-31. In overtime, New England Patriots won by a field goal close to the end of OT: 34-31. Memorable, axiomatic colleagues of mine! It snowed in several cities that hosted games: Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Baltimore. Especially the game in Philadelphia looked like a Christmas story! A few games were decided in the last seconds; the game in Pittsburgh went to an untimed play. The week had also a record-breaking number of touchdowns and points scored. MONDAY, DECEMBER 9 Dallas Cowboys at Chicago Bears 28-45 Average Score: Visitor at Host 23-31 Points Median: 21-29 Standard Deviation: 9-10
WEEK 15 Results (Scores) THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12, 2013 San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos 27-20 The shocker of the 2013 season! Denver Broncos was the preseason favorite to win the Super Bowl. It is not over yet, but there is truth in those statements that Peyton Manning can't play in cold weather. The next Super Bowl will be played in New York very cold weather is expected... "PLAYOFFS? Don't talk about playoffs! Playoffs?!" POSTSEASON Results (Scores) Wild Card Weekend SATURDAY, JANUARY 4, 2014 Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts 44-45 New Orleans Saints at Philadelphia Eagles 26-24 SUNDAY, JANUARY 5 San Diego Chargers at Cincinnati Bengals 27-10 San Francisco 49ers at Green Bay Packers 23-20 Possibly the best NFL Wild Card weekend ever. Three of the four games required watching till the bitter end! One game especially was a real drama. Kansas City Chiefs had a 28-point lead in the second half. Despite turnovers, Indianapolis Colts stormed back and won 45 44. To add insult to injury, the Chiefs lost key players to injury, including their best offensive player. Also, the weather in Green Bay was typical of that locality: minus 5F temperature, with wind chill of minus 13F or so. NFL should consider having all stadiums covered or with retractable roofs. Weather should NOT be a factor in the game; the focus should be on the game, not the weather circus. I am glad teams like Chicago Bears or Green Bay Packers are no longer playing; it feels miserable to watch football games in those cities (New England too) this time of year Divisional Playoffs SATURDAY, JANUARY 11, 2014 New Orleans Saints at Seattle Seahawks 15-23 Indianapolis Colts at New England Patriots 22-43 SUNDAY, JANUARY 12 San Francisco 49ers at Carolina Panthers 23-10 San Diego Chargers at Denver Broncos 17-24 Conference Championships SUNDAY, JANUARY 19, 2014 New England Patriots at Denver Broncos 16-26 San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks 17-23 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl SUNDAY, JANUARY 26, 2014 Pro Bowl 2014: Two fantasy football teams drafted by Hall-of-Famers Deion Sanders and Jerry Rice Team Rice vs Team Sanders 22-21 The Pro Bowl is as exciting as a gala of champions in figure skating nice job, girlies!
Super Bowl XLVIII SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 2, 2014 MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey Denver Broncos vs Seattle Seahawks 8-43 A totally disappointing Super Bowl probably the worst of the last 10 years. It reminded of the weak NFL of the 1980s-1990s, when NFC won 13 consecutive Super Bowls. AFC was really bad. In one Super Bowl, San Francisco 49ers beat Denver Broncos 55 10! Now, Peyton Manning knows that greatness is measured by championships, not individual records. Joe Montana and Jerry Rice are true measures of greatness. Peyton Manning is the most disappointed human on Earth at this time. The owner of his former team had a good point or two when he expressed his disappointment with Peyton for not winning more than one Super Bowl...
