Lotteries commissions have no reason to cheat: The take out is 50% of sales

I don't think the lottery cares at all if there are any winners as they get the percentage for the state if nobody wins or if 10 people win I think you need to better understand the odds involved in the games you play.

: If I'm skeptical of anything it's the so called "randomness" of the lottery drawings. Particularly of Powerball lotto after the combination 09-19-29-38-49 was played 3 drawings ago.

In my own state of Indiana we have a 5/36 daily lotto game and I've been successful twice in the past month of picking the right combination of 5 numbers when I don't play. I'm pretty sure of 4 lotto numbers and am undecided about the other 1 and choose to play my 4 with 5 different last numbers. The prize for 4 lotto numbers in the game is $200. My running 4 of the same numbers with 5 different other lottery numbers says that I'm sure of 4 and expect to be paid at least 5 times $200 dollars. So the computers immediately switch to another of the possible combinations for that day that are just off from what I played.
